Orange Rolls

1 C. shortening
1 T. salt
1 1/2 T. yeast dissolved in 1/2 C. warm water
4 eggs
3/4 C. sugar
1 C. boiling water or scalded milk
7 1/2 C. flour

Orange mix:
Cook together: 1 cube of butter, 1 C. sugar, and juice from one orange as well as some grated orange rind.

Roll directions:
Mix together sugar, shortening, salt, and boiling water. Cool and add yeast dissolved in warm water. Add cold water, slightly beaten eggs and flour. Mix. Put in ice box ( now otherwise known as a refrigerator) for a few hours. Divide into four parts. Roll dough and spread on orange mix. Roll up, cut, and let rise before baking.
Bake for 10 minutes at 400 F.
